Legislative Branch

There are three different branches of our government. There is the Legislative, the Executive and the Judicial. If I had to choose which one I would like to be a part of, I would choose the Legislative Branch. There are two parts of the Legislative Branch. They are the House of Representatives and the Senate. If I were a part of one of them, I would choose the Senate and would like to be a Senator. In order to be a Senator you have to be elected. To be elected you have to be at least 30 years old, be a U.S. citizen for at least 9 years, and must live in the state you represent. Each state has to have two Senators, so in all there will be 100 Senators. Senators have several jobs. They make laws, they create the taxes, and they make treaties with other countries. The reason why I wouldn’t want to be the President is because it would feel like too much responsibility for me. The reason why I wouldn’t want to be in the Judicial Branch is because being a judge would be too boring for me. You would have to know all of the laws and understand them. All of the laws I would make would effect all of the lower courts and besides I don’t look good in black. Of the two parts of the Legislative Branch I would want to be a Senator. I would want to be a Senator because there is only two from each state so that would make me more special.
